Career and Technical Education Annual Notice

Griffin Technology Academies
Annual Notice to Parents/Guardians: Career and Technical Education (CTE) Programs
School Year: 2025–2026

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Griffin Technology Academies (GTA) is committed to providing all students with equitable access to high-quality Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs that prepare them for college, careers, and lifelong success. This notice is to inform families about the CTE opportunities available to students enrolled in our schools and the rights and policies that govern these programs.

Overview of CTE at GTA

Our CTE programs are designed to integrate rigorous academic content with real-world technical skills, enabling students to gain industry-relevant experience, explore career options, and earn postsecondary credits or certifications where possible. Programs are aligned with California’s Career and Technical Education Model Curriculum Standards and fulfill the “a-g” requirements for UC/CSU admission where applicable.

GTA currently offers CTE programs in the following industry sectors:

  • Arts, Media, and Entertainment, including:

    • Visual Arts

    • Digital Media Production

Our pathway includes sequenced courses, opportunities for work-based learning, and connections to postsecondary education and industry. For example, in our Digital Media program, students develop skills in video editing, graphic design, photography, and multimedia storytelling using industry-standard software and equipment.

Equity and Access

GTA ensures that all CTE programs are open to all students regardless of gender, race, color, national origin, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected status. We actively recruit and support the participation of underrepresented student groups in nontraditional fields. English learners, students with disabilities, and students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds are encouraged to enroll in CTE courses, and appropriate supports and accommodations are provided.

Nondiscrimination Statement

In compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), GTA does not discriminate in its CTE programs or activities. Inquiries regarding non-discrimination or the grievance process may be directed to:
