Introducing GTAi - a comprehensive Independent Learning Program at GTA SCHOOLS.

GTAi MISSION:

To prepare students to be ready for college, career, and life through diverse, innovative instructional programs that focus relentlessly on student academic achievement and social and emotional well-being. 

TWO PROGRAM OPTIONS

Depending on where you live and your student's needs, you have two options for enrolling in the Independent Learning Program powered by GTA.

Regardless of which program you choose, all Independent Learning Students can participate in:

  • Sports
  • Student Clubs
  • And any other campus events

OPTION ONE

GTAi Student

 

FOR STUDENTS WHO LIVE WITHIN THE VICINITY OF THE CAMPUS (EITHER GRIFFIN TECH OR M.I.T.):

  • You can enroll in 0, 1, or 2 in-person classes on campus
  • You will take the rest of your classes online
  • You will meet with your Independent Study Teacher weekly on campus
  • You will take tests on campus so they can be proctored (arranged with your schedule)
  • You can access content teachers for support with coursework
  • High School students will take required college classes on a community college campus or online community college classes.

OPTION TWO

FOR STUDENTS WHO DO NOT LIVE WITHIN THE VICINITY OF THE CAMPUS (EITHER GRIFFIN TECH OR M.I.T.):

  • You will take your classes online
  • You will meet with your Independent Learning Teacher virtually three times a month and in-person once a month in a public, agreed-upon place
  • You will take tests with your ILT so they can be proctored (arranged with your schedule and at a public, agreed-upon place)
  • You can access content teachers for support with course work
  • High school students will take the required community college courses on a community college campus or virtually.
